You will explore the subject of ideology through the viewing practices and belief structures of media audiences.

Through the study of media communication models and their history, and through engagement with the extensive body of media audience literature (primarily but certainly not exclusively relating to television audiences), you will explore the nature of contemporary mass communication.

Creative Writing emphasises the importance of engaging with the wider world of literature in order to develop your own writing.

You’ll have the opportunity to study brilliant writing from the past, as well as learning from contemporary creative practitioners.
