While neighboring North Korea makes worldwide headlines with threats and demands, South Koreans have adjusted slightly to possible dangers, but largely carry on with their everyday lives.

The war that halted in 1953 reverberates strongly today, including the continued strong presence of U. military forces near the demilitarized zone that separates the two Koreas.

We finally get to the car and start traveling to my aunt’s house as we travel to the country side the scenery is different in many ways some of the houses actually look like Huts.

There are lots of rice fields that extended for miles. A tall apartment looking building, we entered on the first floor which was a restaurant. It was not nearly as crowded as the airport scene not by far.

I can remember getting on the plane scared and excited all at the same time. The people around me were all speaking broken English and Korean, as they talked the air was filled with strong aromas of garlic, hot peppers, and onions from the Kim chi they had been eating.

The plane was filled with so many people that looked like my mother all in the same place at the same time. Everyone was smiling and nodding as they were talking.

These are some of the things I enjoyed during my 12-day trip.

I met many citizens of South Korea, and learnt many things from them including some Korean words like “yeoboseyo” which means “Hello”.

The ancient architecture mixed with modern architecture has brought a vibrant view of Seoul in the quaint, peaceful.

Going to Seoul, I can’t ignore the palaces, magnificent temples as well as the busy commercial center.
