Just like the morning star, the moments you’re missing have always been there, its just sometimes is too late before you fully recognize that they were even there at all.

This past year I was really close friends with one of the most popular girls in school.

Our Town Essay The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.

Thornton Wilder stated this beautifully in the quote, “The morning star always gets wonderful bright the minute before it has to go.” The morning star doesn’t really get any brighter, the only thing that makes it seem wonderful bright is that all the other stars in the sky have faded away, and it’s the one thing left.

Now let’s just take a second to analysis what that’s saying.

I believe that that quote is saying that once everything else is gone, and your chance to do something is past, you finally realize what you were missing out on.

Act One relates to our daily stages of life because us as people have daily routines that we follow everyday.

In Act Two, titled " Love and Marriage," the daily routines are still occurring as Wilder prepares the readers for George and Emily's wedding again.

Act I, which Wilder calls "Daily Life," is a re-creation of the normal daily activities found in a small New Hampshire town. The Stage Manager then turns back time to the day when George and Emily first discover their love for each other. He has just been elected president of the senior class; Emily is secretary-treasurer. Emily admonishes George for immersing himself in baseball and forgetting his friends. George emphasizes that Emily is special to him and that she remains in his thoughts.

The act opens with the appearance of the Stage Manager, who speaks directly to the audience. Gibbs tells her husband that the organist's drinking problem is the worst she has ever seen. Emily feels that she is mistaken about George and returns his affection.
