This template is appropriate for the current thesis regulations which can be found here and, yes, they do want a Sans font for the titles.

Fortunately, the template has a number of built in options (which can use just serif fonts, for instance) so there is a level of customisation available.

So im using makenomencl and printnomencl and i get an nlo file but makeindex no longer likes it and says: This is makeindex, version 2.14 [02-Oct-2002] (kpathsea Thai support). Yet the 4.2 that comes with it uses \nomenclatureentry.

Scanning style file /usr/share/texmf/makeindex/........(10 attributes redefined, 3 ignored). The transcript says: This is makeindex, version 2.14 [02-Oct-2002] (kpathsea Thai support).

nomencl exists: /usr/share/texmf/makeindex//usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/misc/The same error occurs on an FC5 machine at home.

Ive tried compiling a document from a friend (uses windows) and apart from it moaning that \makenomenclature doesnt exist it also moans about a lack of file. If you're using FC3 then you probably have an old version of nomencl, which didn't have the \makenomenclature command.Note, do not include any merge commits in your PR or work directly on the master or nomencl branches, as this project follows a trunk based development model.Alternatively, zipped “builds” of the template can be download directly from Github. That command appeared in version 4.2 of nomencl, from 2005-09-22.It's possible that FC5 doesn't have the new version either.Scanning input file .(0 entries accepted, 11 rejected). Some people never really get it, but if you do then the strength of this excellent typesetting system will enable you to make professional looking, quality documents with relative ease. The main trick is to treat it like a programming language, so if you’re reading this on this scientific computing wiki, then you should be all right.Ive been trying to create a nomencl in my thesis and followed all of the specifics listed in the many websites ive found (although some claim to use \makeglossary and some same \makenomenclature - the latter gives me "undefined" errors. However the former complains "no file thesis.gls" and doesnt insert the nom.
