(All required materials are listed below) Applications for funding up to 00 to start a collaborative clinical research project using the ASNR clinical research network are now being accepted.If you wish to propose a study and are not a member, you can easily become a member.Considerations for applicants: This ASNR pilot funding opportunity is a good way to seed a collaboration with others who are interested in the same or similar clinical questions.The ASHFoundation’s Clinical Research Grants are intended to encourage research that will impact the delivery of services to people with communication disorders, who are striving to communicate and connect.Research should directly advance our knowledge of treatment efficacy and assessment practices in audiology and speech-language pathology, or investigate the implementation of evidence into practice.ASNR is seeking to facilitate neurorehabilitation research teams and research projects that are low cost and easy to implement in clinical practice across multiple sites.The goal of this pilot grant program is to support evidence-based clinical practice as well as to provide opportunities for building research teams and for junior researchers to work with more experienced researchers.(Should the research study cover a two-year period, grant recipients are required to submit a progress report by December 31, 2020, and a final comprehensive report by December 31, 2021.) The ASHFoundation will provide report requirements.The ASHFoundation strongly encourages recipients to submit their results to appropriate professional journals and to the ASHA Convention Program Committee, with appropriate acknowledgment of ASHFoundation funding.The five criteria contribute differentially to the Overall Impact score to correspond to the goals and funding levels of the grant competition.To ensure competitiveness at the next level of external funding, the Significance of the study is most heavily weighted.
