In order to receive the highest scores, students must develop an argument and support it with an analysis of specific, relevant historical evidence of their choosing.

You've survived the three largest sections of the AP World History Exam.

Bringing up the rear is the LOOOOONG Essay Question. It is simply named because they require you to write a bit more than the SHORT answer questions.

Students are required to analyze and synthesize the documents of the DBQ, but some outside information is still needed.

The LEQ only provides a prompt and no sort of stimulus, so a large amount of outside information is necessary.However, students may begin writing during this time; most students take notes on the documents in order to plan out the DBQ.Students are advised to spend 45 minutes writing the DBQ and then 40 writing the LEQ, but there are no rules on when each essay must be worked on.Students in the United States usually take the course in their second year of high school, although they are not generally required to do so.Key Concept 1.1 Big Geography and the Peopling of the Earth Key Concept 1.2 The Neolithic Revolution and Early Agricultural Societies Key Concept 1.3 The Development and Interactions of Early Agricultural, Pastoral, and Urban Societies Key Concept 2.1 The Development and Codification of Religious and Cultural Traditions Key Concept 2.2 The Development of States and Empires Key Concept 2.3 Emergence of Transregional Networks of Communication and Exchange Key Concept 3.1 Expansion and Intensification of Communication and Exchange Networks Key Concept 3.2 Continuity and Innovation of State Forms and Their Interactions Key Concept 3.3 Increased Economic Productive Capacity and Its Consequences The multiple choice section is weighted as 40% of one's total score (Section I Part A).Students are allowed to work on either essay within this total time period.The section begins with a 15-minute reading period where students are advised to read both the documents for DBQ.Long essay questions ask about large-scale topics specifically mentioned in the concept outline, but they are framed to allow students to provide in-depth discussion of specific examples drawn from the conceptoutline or from classroom instruction Basic setup: They'll give you THE RUBRIC, then ask you a question.  You will need a thesis, use the skill they're asking for, back it up with evidence and Boom.   Below are two examples given from their course description: https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digital Services/pdf/ap/" Basic setup: They'll give you THE RUBRIC, then ask you a question.The DBQ counts for 25% of the total exam score, and the LEQ is 15%.The essays are out of seven points and six points, respectively.
